What Your Club Gets

🏆 Calibrated Competition Scoring

Anyone can use the Competition Judge tier for practice scoring, but club members get something extra: scoring calibrated to your club's standard. The system learns from your members' scores and adjusts difficulty so results more closely align with what they would actually receive on competition night.

Members receive a score out of 10, 15, 20, or 100 (to match your club's scoring system), and the system automatically adjusts difficulty based on the club's overall ability level.

25% Bonus Credits

Your members receive 25% bonus credits on all purchases, added automatically after payment. For example, buying 80 credits gives your members 100.

20% Affiliate Commission

Your club earns 20% commission on every credit purchase made by your members. If you introduce other clubs to Artsplainer, you also earn 10% on purchases made by members of those clubs. A simple way to support your club while giving members access to a useful tool.

If a member belongs to more than one registered club, commission is split equally between all their clubs.

Club Management Portal

Manage your members, view usage statistics, and configure scoring settings through the club portal.

How It Works

  1. Your club applies
    Fill in the application form with your club's details. We review applications and get back to you within a few days.
  2. We set up your club
    Once approved, your club gets a portal account where you can manage members and configure scoring settings (scale, half-points, etc.).
  3. Add your members
    Add your members' email addresses through the portal. Any member whose email matches your list — whether they're already registered or sign up later — automatically gets bonus credits, calibrated Competition Judge scoring, and earns your club commission on their purchases.
  4. Members analyse & improve
    Members submit photos for critique, receive scored assessments, and use the feedback to improve their work. The scoring system calibrates over time to match your club's standard.

Intelligent Scoring

The Competition Judge doesn't just give a fixed number. It uses an adaptive calibration system that:

  • Learns your club's overall ability level from member scores
  • Adjusts scoring difficulty so results more closely align with your club's standard
  • Scores out of 10, 15, 20, or 100, with optional half-point scoring
  • Deduplicates iterative edits so re-analysing the same image doesn't skew calibration

The more your members use it, the more accurately scores reflect your club's expectations.

The Competition Workflow

Artsplainer fits naturally into a member's competition preparation. With plugins for Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, the whole process happens without leaving the editing app.

  1. Edit your image
    Work on your entry in Lightroom, Photoshop, or any editing tool.
  2. Analyse with Competition Judge
    Send the image straight to Artsplainer from within your editor (or photograph it with the phone app). Get a detailed critique and a score calibrated to your club's standard.
  3. Refine and re-analyse
    Act on the feedback, make adjustments, and analyse again. Each round costs just 2 credits and re-analyses of the same image don't affect your club's calibration.
  4. Submit with confidence
    When you're happy with the score and critique, submit your entry knowing it's been thoroughly reviewed.
